KAPITO Sprachschule teaches German in the centre of Münster, Germany’s cycling capital and a city known for its clear standard German. The morning course ends at 12:30: you learn, and you are still there for the children in the afternoon.

KAPITO Sprachschule is a German language school in the heart of Münster, at Servatiiplatz 9, close to the main station and the old town. Münster has a reputation for clear standard German — a reputation, not a guarantee, but a good place to train your ear.
Classes end at 12:30. After lunch you share Münster with the children: the Promenade, the cycle ring around the old town, the Aasee lake, the market on Domplatz.
Your host family needs you in the afternoon. The intensive course is designed around that, provided the mornings are agreed in advance.
The intensive course ends at 12:30. You are back for lunch, school pick-up and the afternoon with the family.
Class time is not childcare time. Show your host family the 9:00–12:30 timetable before you enrol, so it matches nursery and school hours.
Up to 10 hours a week of supervised homework with a teacher in the afternoon, at no extra cost. Use the hours your family can spare.
One course is built around the mornings. The others cover au pairs whose mornings are booked, or who have an exam goal.

No in-person evening course is planned at Servatiiplatz in 2027. The school explains that au pairs are usually busy with childcare in the evening, which is why the morning course is the better fit.
Two examples. In the first, the children are at nursery or school in the morning. In the second, a toddler is at home, so German moves to the evening.

Example timetables. You set your hours with your host family in the au pair contract, within 6 hours a day and 30 hours a week. Agree the mornings with your family before choosing a course: 9:00–12:30 must match the children’s nursery and school hours.

KAPITO is an official telc examination centre for A1 to C1 and an official TestDaF and TestAS test centre. Au pairs from outside the EU usually need basic German for the visa (around A1), and the au pair rules do not require a diploma: an exam is an advantage, not an obligation. Ask your consulate which certificate it accepts.

For au pairs from outside the EU, Germany expects basic German (around A1), and the au pair contract provides for a German course. The host family contributes: at least €840 in total, about €70 a month, according to the Bundesagentur für Arbeit guidance of April 2023, plus the journey to the course. KAPITO issues a certificate for the visa, included in the price. A course does not grant a visa: the German authorities decide. Check the current guidance before signing.
The Bundesagentur für Arbeit model contract allows up to 6 hours a day and 30 hours a week. Class time is not childcare time: build your timetable with your family before enrolling, so that 9:00–12:30 matches the children’s nursery and school hours.
