Procedure for deleting your account

To request the permanent deletion of your account and your personal data on AuPair Connect, follow the procedure below:

  1. 1. Request made from the app (recommended)

    Sign in to your account, then go to Profile → Settings → Delete my account. Follow the on-screen instructions; a confirmation email will be sent to you.

  2. 2. Request made by email (alternative)

    If you are unable to delete your account from the app, write to us at hello@aupairconnect.app with the subject “Account deletion request — [your email address]”.

  3. 3. Processing time

    We process your request within a period of up to 30 days from receipt, in accordance with the GDPR. You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion has been carried out.

Data deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Profile data: name, photo, bio and matching preferences;
  • The matches and messaging conversations associated with your account;
  • The subscriptions and transactions associated with your account;
  • Your sign-in identifiers and account data.

Data retained after deletion

Some data is subject to limited retention after deletion, when legally or technically necessary:

  • Invoices and payment receipts: retained in accordance with the applicable tax and accounting obligation (about 37 months);
  • Identity verification data (KYC): retained in a compartmentalized partition /users/{uid}/private/kyc for the duration of the applicable KYC / anti-money laundering requirement (to be confirmed);
  • Fraud and abuse log: retained in a limited and pseudonymized manner for platform security (duration to be confirmed).

These data are no longer used for matching purposes and are no longer accessible to other users. The exact retention periods are subject to regulatory confirmation and will be updated if necessary.
